Stag 1

I like to hear from anyone that has put a stage1 (hotcam) in with stock piston. My bike has so few hours that I really don't want to change the piston yet, I like the stock reliability when I'm miles down some trail. I would like to go with a 416 later but what gain would I get from just a stage 1 with the mods that I have?
I'm not a racer just and trail rider that wants a little more power.

a friend of mine put in a stage 1 cam with a piston that was a little less than 10:1 compression and he noticed a nice gain. if it was me i would put it in. however, some people wouldn't mess with it unless you put a piston in. i would think you would gain some mid to high end power with it even with the stock piston.

I wouldn't mess with a cam until you decided to build your 400. Thats just my opinion. The 400 is very reliable so just ride it hard until its time for a rebuild.
