400ex/250r shocks

do the 400ex rear shocks fit on 250r's? Im looking at one on ebay its a 400ex WP shock but I have a R. Does it work? thanks

No. the linkages are worlds apart and the shaft,valving and spring rates are much much different:(

nope. i tried with my R and 400 and you would bascially have to take a whole 400ex rear end off (shock mounts etc) to make it work OK then you might mess up your leverage ratios. then you couldnt even use a "transplant" style shock that is pggyback like the 400ex's style cause it would bind on the frame. for example tgo to the steering and susp. forum and look under rico's review under his elka LT rear shock setup pics. that linkage is 100% apart from the R's and also made to handle the 400's traction needs.:macho
