i am having troubles starting my 400ex in the cold it has the stock 38 pilot jet. where can i buy a bigger jet and what size

go to a local dealership or C&D racing off of this site. i would go with a 40 or 42.

thanks!! would i have to change back in the summer I live in nebraska right know it is about 10 degrees out in the summer it is usually over 90. how many turns on the fuel mixture screw.

leave it all year round, I run about 1 1/2 turns out w/ a 42 but every bike is different

I run a 42 at 2 turns out, and that is in the winter. Haven't had a chance to see about in the summer, but it will probably stay the same.

in the summer you shouldn't have to change pilot jets. i would just lean out your mixture in the summer months using the fuel skrew on the bottom of the carb.
