Locktight your heat shield bolts before riding! They like to back out.

Ya I lost one today and the other two are loose. I'll be ordering another one on Tuesday and locktiteing the rest.

I tightened mine before they came out. They where on the loose side.

It won't matter after you get a new exhaust system.

I lost two of the three and just decided to take the heatshield off. Then I removed the brackets that hold it onto the pipe. Looks better now.

That's not necessarily true. The shield on these are kinda cool in that the mounts clamp on to the pipe. So if you have an aftermarket pipe and it is even remotely the same shape as the stocker you can just put them on it and it will retain the factory heat shield. I think this is very cool!

Mine aren't loose. Yet. By the way, I put the new red powder-coated HMF slip-on on and it looks way cool and sounds even better! I you want pics, let me know.

mine were all loose and i broke one tightening it:huh dammit....oh well its stuck in there good now:devil:

Let me wash the quad in the morining and then I'll take some pictures and post them up. It does look pretty trick. And it's not too loud either.
