I'm located in Western Kentucky, and I'm looking to get my frame gusseted and powdercoated. I thought if I could find a place near me, with good prices & quick turn around, I'd just have them do it all. I've thought about The Quadshop, and Rocky Ridge, since their both not too far away. What kind of prices do they ask for this kind of work? What kind of turn around do they have? Thanks.

Would it be better to buy a pre-made gusset kit, or have a machine shop cut gussets for me? What should they be made out of?

i have beat the piss outta my frame for 4 years and never cracked it except at the left foot peg. Honestly i see no reason to waste money on gussets. as long as you run good shocks you shouldn't need them.

if you can find a resonable pc'r down the i know a good one up here..

There's a PC-er about 30 minutes from me, so I'm going to check there today. Where are you at INFANTRY? I'm in Western KY.

if i were you i'd just have a good welder go over the left footpeg welds and beef them up

Out of the two companies you listed, I'd go with The Quadshop. I've seen pics and heard they do a great job. I think it is only like $150.00 for them to gusset the frame. Email them, they responed fairly quick.

I've got a cousin that runs a machine shop, so I'll check with him tomorrow. I just don't know if they've ever done anything like quad frames and such, if it makes a difference? I'm sure they could do it no problem.

I don't feel like gusseting the frame for strength is a waste of money. I am going to do more work to the motor, but I want a strong frame to house the motor. JMO.

Gusseting the frame is not a waste. I would either go with the Quadshop, or check with Rocky Ridge.
