How exactly do these work? I'm considering one I was told it would help with arm pump. It seems like in TX if I didn't have a death grip on the bars they went right outta my hand. Will this help? I take it all you XC have one so explain how they work.

i call it the shock for the side to side motion like your front shocks are for the up & down motion...they are great & I dont think i'll ever run without one again & if I do I would be very uncomfortable

How do they work though? And what does everyone prefer. I have heard a lot about Denton rebuildables just wondering if there are any better out there.

There is a new scotts dampner on ebay right now for 275 there 400 new. With like 6 hours left. It has high and low speed adjustments. And mounts on the handlebar cross bar pad.

what do you mean how do they work? :confused: they take the vibrations out of your handlebars

I have the Denton and like it a lot. It will help you in the woods no doubt. The Scotts, WER, and GPR are the high end units for sure!

what is it that makes the others more expensive? just things like matierals? i'm looking into gettin one, too.

more epxensive b/c of better quality & adjustable on the fly & some other reasons...I have never used one of the high $ end ones so i dont know how much better they are then mine but theres no way im going to spend $400 on a dampner

Your only choice for the Dale that I'm aware of is Denton and the Blaze/Moto Ohlins dampner. I had the Ohlins on my Blaze and now I have the Denton on my new bike. The Ohlins does have more adjustablity and can be set to have no effect in slow turning and lots of dampning for high speed. The Denton also works very well for a lot less money.
A steering dampner is a must have for any type of ATV racing.
