No choke, FCR 39mm carb, stage 2 hot cam, 440 kit, sparks timing key, K&N, no lid, white Brothers full system, ported and polished, pilot jet 48, main 162, air screw, 2 1/4 turns out.

Please give any advise Header glows at idle in about 3 minutes time.

if you want them to quit glowing at idle, raise your pilot jet up a size or two or you could try richening up the fuel skrew.

It is normal for them to glow when idleing. They aren't getting any air across them to cool them and they are single wall pipes. To adjust your pilot screw get it completely up to operateing temps and turn it in and out until the highest idle is obtained and readjust the idle with the idle adjuster.

Did you make any changes other than the new needle & main jet when you installed the HRC kit?

I have similar parts and mine doesn't glow! I would try a 52 pilot and see if it helps. Plus, chunk that timing key out the window!! From what I've heard, it only helps stock motors and actually holds back a built motor.
