going to change cam tomorrow. Does anybody have sevice manual with torq specs? thanks

i have done the cam kit on mine it make a good difference in power ,i put a complete exhaust system on today and it my an even bigger difference. i have a manual i will have to look up the spec for you when i get back to my shop

What did you torque it to? Did the valves need to be adjusted?

Just thought I would ask I had heard from someone on here that they would not need adjusted. Thanks for the reply.

Should you check the clearance? YES! Do you need to adjust them? that depends on the clearance. If you do need to adjust them you will need new shims. The dealer may just swap you or they may charge you for them. I think they run like $5.00 each or somthing. You will also need to know what you are doing and how to do the math to figure out what size shims you will need. It is pretty simple addition and subtraction though. However I didn't need to adjust mine and I have heard from others they didn't either. I guess the base circle of the cam is the same as the stocker so they didn't need to be adjusted.

Mine were good too. Small adjustment to the decompression cle3arance. did you guys have trouble with the cam bolts? Locktight crazy!!

(4)bolts on cam holder 14 n-m (10ft lbs)
(2)Cam sprocket Bolts 20n-m (14 ft lbs)
(1)Decomp cam bolt 25 n-m (18 ft lbs)
(3)Valve Cover bolts 9.8n-m (7 ft lbs)
hondaRs (http://www.hondars.com)
No adjustmensts necessary on valvves, but small on decomp
Idle was increased 1/2 turn

how much extra $$ is the HRC kit and what all does it come with?

Its $300. It comes with a cam, end cap, new bigger snorkle, new air box lid with a hole , a mud deflector for that lid, new jetting, new valve for the crankcase breather, I think thats it. I can't tell you what kind of difference it makes, I only ran it modified. I only use the end cap and cam.

No you can't but im sur there will be many to choose from soon. Not an easy job so do it once and do it right
