axle problems..please help!

i got my lock nuts loosened, and got the ring off, and the lock nuts won't move more than like an inch. it is like it is catching on something. me and my buddy tried a lot of things, and can't seem to do it. :confused: PLEASE HELP!!

The snap ring leaves a burr thay you have to file down to let the nut assy. pass over!

try to heat it w/ a torch. expands the nut just enough thats what works for me;)

thanks...i have not tried a file but i will be doing that next, and i did use a propane torch already, not one of them dinky one's but the like 3 foot tall ones..
