i installed my p.e.p's on my ex today and it turns out that the frame kind of gets in the way of the shock whent he a-arms are hanging all the way. i had to grind a little notch so i could mount them, 1st pic is of where it hit(its the silver spot on the underside of the top shockmount), and second pic is of how bad it didnt line up..

I didn't have a problem either. I'd say it has more to do with the frame, maybe? Is there any build up of PC in there? Just a thought.

i know exactly why it does it, but i dont think its good, reason is because the a-rms are hanging, so the angle of the shock is as far to vertical as it could get, when mounted the sag makes the shock go on more of an angle giving it the clearance. When most of u installed ur shocks u probably only jacked the front up a little bit so the shocks go in at an angle. i know its not the frame cause its the same on the other frames we tried them on,

all in all its fine now...

Glad you got them installed:)

When I did mine the quad was off the ground like yours but I installed the upper bolts first.

i had pep's on both my 400ex's and i had to grind both of them in the same spots.
no big deal, but it would have been nice to know before u had the frame pc'ed, o well use a little touch up paint there.

it looks like the back (flap) of the shock tower was bent in at one time
