In some cases, I think certain brands of heims offer more joint travel.

heims wear out extremely fast due to the fact that they do not have anything to seal them from the elements. the rubber boot on the bj keeps everything nice and clean inside.

Do not buy ASR A-ARMS they are junk.I had them on my 400ex for about two weeks and sold them.the dirt get's in the ball joints and you can't steer.

most regular ball joints used on most atv a arms are metric threads, 14 or 16 mm. Most of the time a heim is 3/4 inch threads, metric heims are hard to find and are much more expensive. So the heims that are normally used will probably not fit in your arms anyway. Another point is that you would not only need the heims but king pins to work with them as well. The only real advantage to using heims is to gain addition ball joint range for a longer travel. If regular ball joints are working with your a arm and shock combo without a binding problem, there is not much use to change.
