What size scoket is a 400 ex Spark plug and how do i take it out

use the one that came with it.. if you don't have one go to your local honda shop and buy one....
the sad part is that they are the only one that will fit inside the head... a Craftsman socket is to thick to fit inside the hole....

get a craftsman crome 18mm deep socket and it fits.it is a tight fit but that is what i use and many others on this site will tell you the same

i bought a craftsmen siocket, but i didnt fit. so i just grided down the walls on the sicket, now it fits fine

thats funny.i didnt have to grind mine and it works great.guess i got luckey
Craftsman works for me too. Fits just fine.

just get a honda one, you wont have any problems with it fitting.

I think its a 5/8 thin wall, thats what I used on my xr250.
