good trail machine?

i am looking at building a lil extra machine for me to ride if my R takes a dump or a friend needs a ride.i am thinking getting a blaster frame and building it as i go along.........i dont want a full bore machine like a 400ex 250R 660R or sumthin. i want a fairly tough machine thats not too hard to maintain and will go when i need it to. i am thinking blaster,300ex or maybe even a mojave........:)

blasters are great for trail riding because of their size and peppy power output. a 300ex has better suspention and more torque, so whatever floats your boat, but a blaster is very light! its a good bike, i wouldnt look at the mojave, my friends breaks all the time.

buy a 300ex or a raptor 350 id go with the ex though:)
