Do you mean "dipping"? Probably about 100 bucks, could be more. Just call some people around your area. They'll let you know.

I don't think its possible to chrome stock a-arms because of the ball joints. Plus I don't think it would be worth it.

chrome can be done on arms but they will need to be cleaned, all brushings must come out all greese must be cleaned off and then sand blasted and polished to a mirror finish, powdercoat is what effects the joints. I chrome and its more of a electro process then a heat process although the chemicals are heated, an you could also plate using an electroless set up which uses a heat process to case the chemical reaction.

Are you saying stock a-arms can be chromed even though the ball joints are non-removable?

Yeah, you can chrome stock arms even if they have non-removable ball joints. Call up some local shops and see what they charge hondaman222;)

yes, you can use numerous things to make the joints non conductive to actually not even attract the chrome. Go on ebay, they have alot of chromed stock arms, the arms must be fully polished and degreased, also might want to add some greese zerks to the arms for the ball joints to repack them. If you go with powdercoating them also thats a good idea, many pc'ers dont do stop arms for this point, but then again your baking, in chroming your plating, 2 different words

Interesting.....

This is the first i've heard about chroming stock arms. I guess I don't get out much:p I don't recall ever seeing any on ebay.

I suppose the biggest disadvantage of chroming it cost? Is anyone willing to give a $$ range to expect for this process?

Too much$$$$$ seriously triple or show? show is ultra shiny and wont last if used in dirt, only sand for duners. Triple gives a good finish and lasts longer all in all its still a 3 step process anyway, I would go with a copy krome or use a bit more nickel and my batch for anything off road it adds to the strenght. your looking at anywhere from 175.00 and up

You can get them Nickel plated for around $30 around here. Check your local phonebook for Nickel platers and see what you come up with. Nickle looks just like chrome!! Check out my other thread about my Nickel parts. There's pics of them there.
