I have a 2002 400ex. It has a white brothers eseries slip on, K&N filter with outerwears. Dyno jet kit. The pipe has 18 discs. It has the stock pilot jet. the dyno needle on the 3 clips with washer. the dyno chart says to run a 170 main with airbox lid off. It seems to run very rich. Should I jump down to a 155 or stay higher. The temperature were i ride is around 20-45 degrees. Elavation is 1200ft.

I live in Fla. ,When mine was stock , 170 was a lil fat , 165-160 did better for me then, then I was running 12 disc White-Bro's E-series, K&N airfilter w/Outerwears

I just went through this a few days ago. I have same exact setup and I tried the 170. I was way too rich. I dropped to a 155 and have only tested it around the house but seems to be much better.

The dyno charts allways tell you to run to rich [to be safe] I have the same set up but I'm runing 12 disc's... I run a 155 in summer & a 160 in the winter & my plug looks great...with 18 dis'c try a 160...
