400ex engine...would it fit?

i know this is a stupid question but would a 400ex engine fit into a 300ex frame? i was asked this question and i didnt know the answer so now im asking you guys....

Yes it will, but it is kind of senceless, I seen a guy that had one in Ill. at paradise motopark.:devil:

you have to make your own motor mounts and a custom head pipe to clear the frame. The ari intake also has to be modifyed

I thought a 400ex engine was to tall to fit in a 300 frame?:confused: I would rather just put a 350x enigine in there. Faster and easier to install.

Well, I don't know about the "faster" part, but I beleive it IS easier to install. Plus, it has 6 gears.
