what does your 450r sound like?

I've got about 5 hours on my 450r and I cant get over the sound it kind of has that c-dale sound. I didn't ever hear that sound from a crf450.I might be hearing things. I guess it will go away when I put a t-4 pipe on it. If you could, tell me what you think of your 450r sound.

Kinda like a dale but without the square cut gear noise:D It still isn't too loud with the hrc kit, at least not like I thought it would be.

I thought the engine made some funky noises that I can't relly describe. I have never heard a c-dale running so I can't compare. I think the exhaust note is very stock 400exish. My wife heard me rippin' around Sun aft. and she said it sounds more throaty than my 400ex. We have a lot of snow so I have a total of 1/2 hour rippin' up and down a 1/4 mile plowed lane.

i have owned a cannondale and it makes the funny sound from the motor like the dale not sure why though:rolleyes: but i know my cannondale was fast and had no probs wid it so i can only hope that the r is the same:devil:

my 450R sounds NOTHING like a cannondale. The c-dale sounds like a coffee can full of marbles being shook at a high rate of speed. The honda..............well, it sounds like a honda. Smooth.

ok thanks, I guess it is just something in the top end or in the timeing chain it sure don't sound like my 400.

Mine kinda sounds like a big air compressor standing next to it at idle. Riding it hard from about half throttle up it kinda sounds like a crotch rocket. I love it so far!
