ok,so you know that a raptor rear shock can fit on a 300ex,i was wondering can a aftermarket raptor rear fit on a 300 too>?i would guess maybe can someone clear this up for me

probably if u tell them when u order it that it is for an 01 and get the remote rez

yeah, it will fit, but your best to use the stock shock.
i know your thinking "if a stock shock works good, an aftermarket would work better, right"
this is not completly true. the stock valving just happens to be right on for a 300ex, the aftermarket shock will be valved for a different weight, riding stle etc. so yes it will bolt up, but the valving may not be right for a 300ex rear end anymore.
elka, axis or PEP may be able to valve the shock for a 300ex since it isthe smae length, but i would check w/ them b4 you bought an aftermarket shock off ebay or something

if you are buying a new shock, just order it for a 300 to make sure its right the first time

one more question i heard that the raptor rear is better then a works rear shock,is that true?

ok im just saying what i have heard from people that ran the raptor rear,anybody else would like to give there opinion to this?
