250x steering stem bearings

do i have to take the steering stem off to replace them or can i just put the bearing in through the bottom? is there a way with out completely taking it off the bike?

you have to take the stem off. Its fairly easy and shouldnt take long to do.

thanks i guess i will hav esome work tomorrow i need to replace them, the a-arm bearings, shock bushing, coat the inside of the gas tank and tap a bolt in the head b/c its stripped!
i think i will finish by this weekend i hope:grr:

do u need the bearing and seals numbers? or are u buying them from honda?
