I just got my stock 450r today and was wondering if anyone on here took the baffle out of there pipe? If so did you have to change the jetting and what did you change it to? Thanks in advance for you responses.

Well I installed the HRC kit on mine and removeing it was part of it. When the first one came to the dealer I worked at the other guys that did the PDI on it said they rode it stock and took the baffle out and they said it was a lot more responsive without the baffle in it. I'm sure it will change the jetting a bit though.

What would be the best jet to use in your opinon? I thought mabey about a 140 but its hard to tell the aftermarket pipes are about 180.

To be honest I have no Idea. I'd go up a couple of sizes from stock and see what it does. I'd imagine you'd only need to go up a size or two.

I took mine out today and didn't have to change my jet. As trx450r said it does feel a little more responsive. I would say to change the jetting if you take the airbox lid off though.

Without going and looking at the stock one I took out, I believe it is a 118.

I took my baffle out with no problems. The airbox lid is a different story. Definatly going to have to re-jet when I do that. I am probably just going to wait and get the HRC kit before I do any major jetting.
