'400EX Pro 4 Series
LRD PRO 4 Series are designed for maximum acceleration for the entire powerband. These pipes are used by top pros to holeshot and win races. These pipe are manufactured to the highest quality and are available in Chrome or Super Ceramic coating. Spark Arrestors available. '

-I think this is an excellent pipe for the 400ex and you can pick one up for about $435.. not too bad

If i could tell you one of the best selling pipes out there, it would most likely be an HMF pipe or slip on, They are popping up everywhere, I have a CT which gives great gains but has broke on me twice and is really loud, which i can say the same for the LRD I have one of those and it also was really a challenge to keep the rivits in it at the beginning of the silencer.

ok someone answer me.. if i got the measurements off of a a/m pipe and used the same packing materials and inards it uses to build my own pipe would it compare?? im just wondering since an a/m pipe is very expensive, and i can just take the measurements and stuff to a muffler shop and have them make one for 14 bucks

I would have to say a White Brothers E series. I got one and put it on a month ago and it is awsome. Plus it is made in the USA.

J/W, why did you choose the turn down over the eliptical end cap?
Is the sound different?

You broke tour CT twice????? How did you do that?

I have the CT sonic and it has great gains and never broke. Mine is comparible in sound to most other non quiet core pipes out there, and will most likely be much quieter than the huge numbers of 450's out there.

My vote is with CT!

I would have to say sparks or HMF. I have the wb e-series for about 6 months now and I'm not impressed...wish I had more $ for a new pipe:mad:

the turn down is actually quieter because the sound waves hit the ground first instead of aiming straight toward your ears.

The full system is definitly quiter than the slip on.

I like it.

Hey 450r_rider in my 400ex with eseries i am running a 150 main with white bros filter, that is in cold weather though
I think i am going to go up to a 155 or 160 in summer.

you want to go up on your main now and down in the summer. air becomes less dense when it is hot out.

just because yours pulls on his doesn't mean the fmf is better. i would spend the cash on hmf over fmf any day of the week, but everyone has their own opinion.

I love my LTE exaust! The power is great, and the looks are eye catching.

It is a totally American made product!

I wouldn't trust any manufacturers with their HP #'s. LTE has had independent dyno do alot of his dyno runs, the operators of the dynos were the ones admazed by the power output. LTE's dyno runs were prevoiusly done with just stock tires. I have seen the dyno sheets, and can personally vouch for the truthfullness of LTE's numbers.

Lowder, I don't know what that would be.

Now if you are asking if it is louder than other aftermarket exausts, NO...
