How good does it work ? My rear tires have very slow leaks and i was wondering if slime would help this.

I had to slime both my rear tires and it helped big time. Before I did it (it was a last resort) I took the tire off and put soapy water over the tire, looked very closely for air leaks and plugged what I saw. If it's a very slow leak, slime works wonders.

i used slime too and it works incredible for fixing old, slow, leaks and fixing new ones instantly that pop up

i had slime in my tires....and it throws the tires off balance at high speeds..read the bottle...the tires felt like an off balance washing machine while ridding at top speeds

i used that fix-a-flat stuff goes in through the valve like ur filling up ur tire with air (u r filling it with air and foam stuff) and it doesnt mess with ur balance

sure it does..........antything that you put into your tires to stop it from leaking has some effect on the balance. All fix-flat in spary cans is liquid and is like water inside your tires. Also not good for tires and is extremely flamable

its simple physics....

the slime has centripital (sp?) acceleration outwards away from the center of the tire... it bunches up in one spot in the tire and there for adds weight to one part of the tire... the extra weight wants to throw the tire outward and makes that part heavier which throws it outta balance REALLY BAD...

go on the round up at the fair... u stick to the wall of the ride bc the force throws u outwards... if it weren't for the wall behind u (the tire in this case) it would throw u off tangent to the tire:devil:

wow i hate physics class haha

ive always run slime. makes a big difference, especially if you are gonna run over thorns. fills in a lot of holes and lasts a long time. i never noticed much of a wobble in the tire at high speed. its a mess when you want to pull the tire off the bead, and it doesnt help with side wall cuts, but its well worth the money

did anyone ever see the stuff that is in nail gaurd tires? If they used that stuff in atv tires, u would almost never have to worry bout a flat. Only problem is it makes the tire pretty heavy

if you ever put the fix a flat crap its almiost impossible to patch a tire, it auctually eats the inside of the tire out making it real slick and kinda slimy so they cant get the patch to stick, ask anyone who knows about tires its crap, it may help get you out of a bad situation sometime but its not a good quality product, imo

I use it, and could care less what it does to the inside of the tire. If it makes the difference in racing vs. riding with a flat, who cares?
