I am running a stock 400ex W/B slip on, K&N filter.
Spend the most of my ride time on trails near the house, 2-3 trips per year to the dunes in Florance, Or.
Pleased with the power I have, but my "style" seems to keep me in 2nd-4th gear range.
I find that I get bogged down in 3rd and 4th often.
So, by dropping a tooth on the front would that equate to 1/2 of a gear and keep me running smooth 2-4?

a 14 tooth is really nice for running trails. however, you will loose top speed but that sounds like its not a concern to you if you ride in 2nd to 4th most of the time. by the way, i have a 14 tooth renthal sprocket with about 15 minutes on it. its for sale if you want it. pm me if you do. cal
