This is for Kentuckys new off road park.
We want to know what you like and do not like.
What things would you like to see in a park?
We want to build Bucks Run with the riders and
racers in mind. Your posts here will be appreciated
and very helpful to us. Thanks

Full service bar.
Sorry that will never happen. I was hoping for a little more
useful input, but thanks anyway.

Good camp sites(Level) and some place for kids to ride
Here are some of the things planned in the future.
*Large lake near the front of the property with lakeside
cabins and cook out areas. A "quiet" area.
*Many tracks and training areas for Quads & Bikes.
*A trail that takes you through a series of man made
obstacles. You'll just have to see this one.
There are so many cool things planned but we have
to let everything thaw and dry up a little for us to
get rolling full blast. Come on out and check out the
park in its undeveloped stage.

I'd like to be able to buy a yearly pass instead of paying $15 each time I ride. The cabins would be really nice. Maybe a few electrical hookups at the camp sites. Plenty of primitive camping should be available. Well maintained bathrooms and showers are a must.
One thing that I think would REALLY benifit both you the park owner, and me the customer is a parts and service shop. I cant tell you how many times I've broke something or needed a part, and would have gladly paid for it. A full service shop would be great too, to make those trail repairs.
I'm in Cincinnati Ohio and it appears that you are about 1.5 hours away. I would love to stop by your place and ride sometime.
maybe offer a discounted or free ride for the first few months you guys are open. That would help bring people in.
$15 a day seems pretty high. Group discounts or percentages off to EXriders.com and Kyriders.com would be nice also since we will be your major customers.
A large sign at the entrance is a MUST. Writing it on a cardboard box and placing it 6 inches off the ground in the weeds isn't going to cut it. Make it visible to everyone that comes down the road, searching for a little sign on that backwoods road is not a fun thing.
Make a smooth parking area.
Offer discounted prices to those staying for more than 1 day.
I'll think of more just give me time...

15 bucks is a little high, a discounted weekend price would be nice also
This is a very expensive project and if we can't
charge any more than $10 a day it's going to
be near impossible to stay open. I think the
demand for a place like this is much less than
we thought. I'm thinking that people have their
places to ride already. What's everyone else
think? Was this a bad idea?

This is a good idea. It will just take some time to get it off the ground. Once the weather clears and more trails are cleared people will come . I will be back. You have an outstanding place, and outstanding ideas. It may just take some time to get the word out.

I'll be there as soon as I buy my first ATV(400ex). Should be in about 2 months! :D Now to figure out if I want a new or used one.

What kind of advertising are you doing? Advertising is key. People have to know what and where you are in order to come.
Yea I know it is going to take off but it's
discouraging to hear complaints so early.
When I was racing and wanted to practice
on any track it never was under $15 a
day. Thats just one mx track. I know that
B.R. does not have everything up and
running yet but if everyone hangs in there
for a few weeks we will have more & more
to offer.

its a great idea, there are tons of people in the area that ride that ned a close place. louisville is 2 hours from every good riding area so think about it this way, people are spending way more to ride at mountian parkway, the badlands or haspin acres, but they have to spend way more than 15 bucks and a quarter tank of gas to get there and back.
and in my personal opinon, 15 bucks is a little steep but i'll be back anyway b/c like i said, its close enuff that if you really thiunk about it, 15 bucks really aint that bad to ride all day.
i would however much rather see a place develop slower and keep the cost to ride a tad less than explode over nite and have a more expensive price just to keep thier head above water. people will come even with out a mx track, or showers etc.. so keep it slow just make sure people know each time they come, it will be a little bettetr than the last

man u think 15$ is steep... come up here to any riding area... rausch creek is 30 or 35$ a day:eek2:
just to ride on one track for 3 hours to practice is 25$ up here:o
i'd kill to have a place like that for 15$ a day

I don't think I've ever payed less than $15 to ride in an offroad park.

$15 seems fair to me. I am not into full force mx racing, but I don't think I have ever been to a riding park and spent less then $15 a day. Haspin Acres here in indiana has one descent track and a couple of week ones and it's 15 a day. Isn't LBL $15, they don't even have a track. So people, that are looking for a close place to practice on a track, should be willing to spend $15.
A couple weeks ago you seemed so excited about this new park, and now you seem to be down about it. Get that excitement back!!! People are always looking for a different place to ride!
Also, just one suggestion that I know will be expensive, I would love a place to come down to, that had reletively cheap cabins to stay in. Sleeping in tents, just gets old after a couple of long days of riding.
Keep it up and remember: If you build it we will come! Good luck!:D

im not exactly sure, two of my friends at school said that were are going sunday, but i was just told that its going to rain on sunday, so well have to see. ill find out tomarrow at school about what time were going if its not going to rain.
We will be offering a (pre) paid program.
It will work like this.
5 or more $12 ea.
10 or more $11 ea.
15 or more $10.50 ea.
25 or more $10 ea.
This means you get 25 days worth of passes for $250
The daily charge is $15 so this saves quite a bit.
Getting 25 or more tickets takes $5 off ea. time you
ride.

No noise restrictions yet. Are you going to give us
a reason to have noise restrictions? We do want
to respect any surrounding land owners so lets
try to be within reason. Hopefully your not running
without a muffler. Pics sound good. Hope to see
you soon!
I really am sorry about the post awhile back when I
was getting down. The reason for that was we were
working from dawn till dusk in whatever kind of weather
God was sending us and then I got on here and saw
where some were saying it was too high. Just all the
work that goes into something like this makes every
thing touchy. There are 3 of us pouring our hearts
into Buck's Run. I totally believe it's going to become
one of the countries most fun places to ride. If it doesn't
it's not because we didn't try. Come see our progress
soon!

Rico I think that me and Whitezee will be going up there around noon. Let me now if you would like to meet some where, we are not for sure on how to get up there and you went the other weekend with Jeff so I figured you would know how to get there. Also Jeff told me today that Jeremy was looking to go riding this weekend too so he might go.
