Got bored & ground out my header welds today. Easier than I thought it would be.

Could be just wishful thinking, but the bottom end feels slightly stonger. I have a 16t front & I was having more trouble than usual keeping the front end down.

One done

Nice pics, way better than the ones I posted quite awhile ago.

You can see the weld bead in the first pic. The beads were bigger than I thought.

I used a dremel,
I tried a few of the metal cutting bits first, but I used the cut-off discs more than anything & went through 5-6 before I got it all smooth.

Thanks Joex,
Could you tell any difference when you did it??

I used a die grinder for mine (air powered Dremel like tool)

ewalker302,

It seemed a bit snappier after I did it but I also put in a new plug and trimmed the entry of the snorkle at the same time time so an honest opinion of the real gain is questionable. I didn't grind down as much as you did either. I just leveled the weld bead.

This was my thread on this....
