Brandon Ballance was in 6th at the end of a train. The top six racers were only seperated by a max of three seconds between each of them.

Santo Derisi Rounded out the Top 10 Pro Riders, and was over 1.5 minutes behind the leader Bill Ballance.

Thomas Barrett was in 12th only a few seconds behind Jeff Stoess, but after the 1st lap Barrett was out of the race.

Johnny Gallagher ran into problem on the 1st lap as you can tell by his front fender, and was back in 13th place.

Kim Kuhnle was in 14th and Andy Lagzdins was only a few seconds behind in 15th.

Tragically, Dirk DeCesare wrecked early in the 1st lap when he lost control in a rutted section of the course. He suffered four broken vertebras in his back and is in the Texas Hospital waiting to be able to return to an Ohio Hospital to continue his recovery.

It was his first Pro Race, and it is awful that this is how it turned out for him, so please keep him in your prayers.

William Yokley moved up to 2nd and was several seconds behind Ballance on the third lap. Bill Ballance attempted to pass a lapper, and they became tangled which caused him to wreck. William Yokley quickly moved into the lead while Ballance remounted his YFZ450.

William Yokley here is being assisted by Martin from Elka to get off the Main track on a alternative line to avoid stuck racers at the top of the hill.

Bill Ballance had dropped back to 5th behind Trew, but was on the gas trying to regain his lead spot and quickly passed Trew to move up to 4th by the end of the third lap. He also closed the gap between him and Yokley to only 56 seconds.

Santo Derisi had moved up to 6th place from a 10th place start, but his progression quickly came to and end when he lost his brakes. Shortly afterwards, he ran into more mechanical problems and was force to DNF the race after 3 laps :(

Jeff Stoess had dropped back to 18th place after running into fuel problems, so he was pushing his ATK to its limits to try to gain some positions.

Chad Duvall had dropped back to 8th place because of linkage binding issue, and to make things worse, his race was quickly ended after he snapped his chain in the 4th lap.

Bill Ballance really stepped it up and with the fastest 4th lap time of 23:29, and He was able to pass both Smiley and Borich to move back up to 2nd Place!

Ballance utilized alternative lines to pass lapped racers.

At the end of the last lap, The Crowd patiently awaited to see who was going to come out of the Woods first and race to the finish line. Out of now where, William Yokley emerged from the Woods still in the lead with Ballance now where to be seen.

Ballance crossed the finish line in 2nd Place and recorded the fastest complete lap of the day with a 23:14 lap time and he closed the gap to only 27 seconds.

William Yokley, The Overall Winner :D

he pushed his Z400 to its limits and came away with a well deserved victory. William Yokely spent all winter training and racing and it paid off for him.

Pro Am was the 2nd Class to start. The Pro Am Class consist of Production and Non Production Quads, and the riders are ranked 11th to 50th that choose to run Pro Am. The highest ranked rider in the Class was #16 Jeremy Rice


Pro Am Start:

#25 Brian Schmid,Open A 2003 Champion, grabbed the early lead off the line with #17 James Wahl close behind.

Jeremy Rice, quickly dropped back to 13th place in the 2nd lap after running into problems and was only able to work his way back up to 6th by the end of the race.

#705 Michael Burrows lead the first two laps, but started to slow down and #40 Gregg Stewart passed him for the lead in the third lap, and Jathan Seale passed Burrows to move up to 2nd Place on his new TRX450R

By the End of the 1st Lap, Bryan Baker had a one minute lead over 2nd place on his new ride this year the Vforce 700 for kawasaki Team Green.

Bryan Baker was the 1st Pro Production Champion in 2002, but he took a year off to spend with his family and allow his back to heal.

Well, obviously the time off didn't slow him down!

Taylor Kiser won the race on his Z400 by almost 4 minutes, and Quintonas Cranford finished and impressive 2nd on his KFZ after making the drive from Pauls Valley, OK. Hopefully, he will continue to follow the series.

John Cunningham Jr. had a horrible wreck only a few turns into the race and his quad received exstensive damage. Luckily, John received some massive bruising, but no broken bones.

A Blaster grabbed he holeshot by a large margin, but David McCarroll quickly made the pass and took the lead. Dave went on the lead every lap and won by almost 4 minutes

Mike Nash finished 2nd and Nathan Hankins finished 3rd

Many Riders got hung up on the last big uphill before the finish line and spectators would rush out to help them. The guy in the Superman Sweatshirt was out there the entire day helping out!

I guess he used his Super Strength :D

The funny thing about that "rocky hill" you guys were standing on, is that wasn't the worst hill out there, They were all really bad. Rocky really doesn't describe them, more like jagged, huge mammoth like cliffs.
