300ex or blaster

See i have a 99 300ex and i dont like it one bit i have dg exhasut, k and n airl filter with ac racing nerf bars. Now i want to trade it in for a 2004 or a left over 2003 blaster and put 1000 dollars into it that i didnt want to spend on my 300. But which would you put the money into? ANd should i buy a new blaster why and why not?thanks

I've owned them both and i like the 300 much better. They are about the same in power and performance. The blaster has a little more top end thats about it. The honda handles better, has better brakes, electric start, and reverse, on top of that its a honda. The one plus about the blaster is they finally have brakes that work, which should have been put on there a long time ago. If your just not happy with the performance of the 300 i dont think you will be happy with a blaster either. You may want to look into a 250r, 400ex, or z400.

if ur doing MX racing i would get a blaster, but for trail riding, play jumping and woods racing i would get a 300ex. jmo...

I hear the blaster tho with the same amout of work done to a 300 could beat it. and i also hear with intake and exhasut i could keep up with a stock 400?

ive owned a blaster and my friend has a 300ex, id keep the 300ex personally but these are both in stock form, when thy get modded i dunno, it could be a diffrant story

my friend had his blaster done up with maybe 1500 in motor mods and was pulling very trick 250rs off the line and could keep up with them pretty well through most of the race, rider is also a big part in that since he could pretyy consistintly place 3rd in the pro class on a stock warrior at one of our local race circuits.

but then also a 2 stroke would be more matience than a 4 stroke so if that is something you dont like to do then got with the 300ex.

as of right now im leading towards the blast im jsut getting bored with the 300. anyone else have an imput?

a blaster is a step down from the 300ex! The 300ex is better in any type of riding. I say spend that $1,000 on the 300...

well, i have both, as everyone knows, my 300 is heavily modded.

if your serious about racing, its easier to win on a 300ex, but a blaster is a much more fun quad to ride and you can make it smoke a 300ex

my friend had 2001 300ex and i had a 2001 blaster he would kill me in everything and i had more riding ability than him one time we tried making a xc track and there was mud i would get stuck everytime i liked my blaster for jumpin and that was it than i got a 300ex with razrs and i crushed him blasters hate mud and brakes suck

i say get a 300ex, cuz i ride with pple who have blasters and i smoke them every time...plus they r easy to handle... but maybe thats cuz mine is in a 250R frame...and my brother has a 300 and it jumps really nice and easy to do wheelies if u like that kinda stuff....

Blasters are so SMALL I hit my knees off the fenders constantly but then again i am 6'
