Riding boots

I've been looking at getting a set of riding boots. What boots do you all recommend i look at? I kinda like the look and of the gaerne exlplorers but who else makes a boot with an atv sole? I'm looking to only spend about $200 or so.

I just ordered Alpinestars Tech 4's the atv boot. Finally got new boots (good ones, lol!) Now the crappy FOX ones are outta here baby!

My Fox ones are for sale by the way...I'll let'em go cheap. They are size 9 I believe.:)

just ordered ARC coronas...didnt get atv sole tho b/c i ride a bike.....$80,dont know the quality but ive heard there ok...got them outta Rocky Mtn......size 13 btw....:p

As of for Al;pine start. THose people rock. I called them up and said that i had trouble with the top straps being to short for me and they send me a whole new complete set no questions asked. thats service.

Whats the tread on the atv tech4's look like, are they like the thor atv boots. Also where did you get them.

I think the tread has some bumps on them, you know for traction as opposed to regular boots that have the flat sole.

got some thors. Had for about 4 years now. They were only about 100 and hold up very great and look pretty good also

i have a set of alpinstars tech 8 and these things r awsome.there very heavy which is a good thng but bad for walking in them.i will say they saved my leg this past summer.i got into a horriable wreck and would have lost my leg if it wasn't for the strenth of these boots.most of my leg and ankle was shattered but the ems people and the ER people said if i would have had on softer boots it woulda ripped my leg off of me.i will purchase alpinestars till the day i die after going through that. later BILL
