I Got It!!!

Let me tell you, its awesome! First gear is pretty tall, it may be hard to get used to that.

i have one question, i was going around the court, it was revving at about 1/3 maybe 1/4 throttle and the pipe got red hot....did anyone else notice this......it could be the very thin cold air here leaning it out, im not sure.???

you maybe running a little lean, I just re jetted my 350x yesteday cause even though it is freezing out it was running way to hot. now it runs much better,

I bet with the jets that are in it now will work good when the air thickens up a bit, but for the winter i might have to go up a jet size.

if your headpipe is glowing your running too lean. i dont know where the mixture screw is on that carb but on an FCR its recessed into the bottom of the carb.. so look for a screw at the bottom of the carb and turn it outwards(counter clock-wise) to richen it up.(half turn at a time till it gets better)

you may need to put a bigger jet in it, but try this first

because the header is glowing doesnt necesarily mean your lean.... at night at low speeds or at idle ... the yfz headers and the yz400/426 headers glow too... even when jetted correctly. it is because of the metal used to make the headers... not incorrect jetting

my quad (yzf426 conversion)the header glows sometimes at idle but its only when lean. it doesnt take much

yeah its a keihin carb if im not mistaken, i know if it is the screw is on the bottom for air fuel mixture....i think i should richen it up a bit...thanks!
