View Full Version : how do you get the raptor spring off rear shock?

i wanted to do this so i can powedercoat it,im hopeing that you dont need a shock compressor to do this?any help would be appriceated(sp)

You need to bring the spring all the way up, and get a shock compressor, Just go to a shop.. only takes like 1 minute if the guy is having trouble lol...

You can.. but youll prolly pinch your fingers and shyt, take too long w/o compressor.. just buy the tool ( shock king ).. get them at a hardware store

You dont need a compressor! its easy all you need is a spanner wrench, or something that will grip the preload collar.

All you need to do is unscrew the preload all the way, then slide the little plate that the spring sits on out, then remove the spring. It can be done in less thatn 5 min.
