I was curious as to which companies make shocks that make the quad sit lower, and by how much? I want it to be as low as possible for ice dragging at sled drags this winter. I was thinking of going with the Durablue lowering kit, but that only makes it maybe 1.5-2 inches lower. Shocks just seem like a better investment all around. If you could tell me which companies make shocks that make the quad sit lower and how much, and what you think would be the best bang for the buck, I would greatly appreciate it. Funds are somewhat limited, so I am looking to do some shopping to see what best fits my needs.

I know of a few companies right now, but I am looking for opinions from those who have dealt with the shocks.

Sounds like you want zero preload shocks, they sit low until airborne, then then lengthen to its full travel to soak up the bumps.

Well there is PEP ZPS, Elka SSD, Works stadium, TSC zero preload. I think some companies make a TT shock like works for sure.

How much is it lowered? I have heard of most of these, but I don't know how much they actually lower it.

Most are adjustable so you can make them sit lower or make them about stock

Use stock banshee shocks. They lower it, but I'm not sure by how much. Have you taken all the preload you can out of the stockers? I did this, and it makes the quad ride much better! it follows bumps better, and still jumps pretty good. I left some in the rear so I can still wheelie all the time. Just a thought. hehe

Is 2" a huge difference? I suppose it would make quite a difference. RideRed, how much shorter are Banshee shocks? There are some for sale on the net for $24 w/shipping!!!!! (used of course)

Im not exacly sure, but it almost is a sin not to buy them for that price (if they arnt blown). Used 300ex shocks would lower it pretty good too. I would look more into used shocks than high dollar zps shocks, unless you have a ton of money or are going to be useing them all year. just my $.02
