After running the Kendas this weekend, your overall thoughts?

How tall are they as compared to XC Holeshots--Tallest,Razor2's-XCR-03 same height.

Thanks

They are honestly the best tire for traction I have ever ran! They slide well and are very predictable.
The rears are the same height as Holeshot XCR's. They are realeasing a 21" rear this summer that should be just as tall as an XC or Razor 2. The fronts are narrow like a Razor 2 and are the same heigth as a Holeshot XC or Razor 22".
Even tho I was running Tire Balls, I cannot find any side wall cuts or holes. Wear was very minimal, I will race with the same set again.

Two thumbs up! :macho

Thanks. I think I will give them a try as soon as they come out with the slightly taller 21" The price allows them to be one race throwaways.

Thats the nice thing, they aren't a 1 race tire. That was my second race on them and I'm gonna do another on this same set.

what model and size are you running Jeff?

02-03-2004, 11:19 AM
There's no way the rears are 20's. They look 19 to me. Woolin which also runs the same tires said he was hung up all day long in Texas because of the new rear kendas. I"m not dissing them at all, but when i first saw them on Jeffs quad I was like, WTF does he have MX tires on the back of that thing. The 22's he has hanging in the trailer look like 21's not 22's. I wonder what kinda jackleg measuring device Kenda uses:confused: I guess the 21's they're coming out with will actually be 20's....:o

The 22" rears I have are the exact same size as a 22" holeshot XCT.

And now the rest of the story.!!!

I like the height of the XCR's but the few times every year they catch me up, I feel I lose more then I gain. The XC's are taller, thus tippy but I NEVER GET STUCK OR HIGH CENTERED.

Do the fronts push like the Razor 2

Are they Knarly rears and Klaw XC fronts? And do they not offer 6ply fronts?

HOLY COW!
Where do we get the foam and the seat cover?

Ive got extra seat pans

As for the tires, I am seriously on the fence between Kendas and Razr's

Are the razr fronts not getting enough traction and therefore pushing through corners?

What about the Rear razr v the rear kenda, and are those klaws or their other brand?

I ran 1 set of razr I's all year last year without a single flat, was pretty impressed, never got stuck in really muddy stuff either.

Ya, razor's do tend to push
The rears I run are the Knarly's, I used to get to many flats with the regular razor's

how much do you sell that seat foam for,and im guessing that you will need a bigger seat cover to work with the added foam>

If you talking about the 22" Knarly's, I have to respectfully disagree with you Jeff. Unless they have changed the 22's since I bought mine about this time last year, the 22's are way bigger then holeshot xct rears. I've measured my 22's and they are about 23.5 with 5 pounds in them

I'm glad to hear that they're coming out with a 21" though. Should fit nicely between the 19+ and 23+ they are currently making :p

Here's a pic of me from a couple of weeks ago where you can see how big they are. Those are the 22" Knarly's on the back and 22" holeshot XC's on the front

I put them up next to my 22" XCT's and they were so close you could lay a level on them.
