does anyone ever heard anything bout a 465 bore kit for a 400ex i have seen them for zs but that is it ? if sso how much and who makes them reliable or not ? thanks :boblos

I believe you bore it to 440 and then stroke it to 465..correct me if im wrong

thats why i was aaskin what if the ratio on the piston was low for like 93 octane do u think it would still work

The 465 bore uses a 92mm piston and you need to have the case halves bored.

My 460 is a 89mm piston (440 piston) and a 4mm stroked crank

Some companies have a 460 big bore Like sparks the is a 92mm piston
some companies like LRD have a 460 stroker which is what K_fulk has.

and some companies like FDO which is what I ran last year have a 463 stroker ( some companies call it a 465 like TC) it is a 88 mm piston with a stroked 6mm. I found this motor very reliable.

Hey Kfulk how do you like the 460?? We have the stuff to do our 400 to a 460 but havne't yet I'm hoping to do it so I can flattrack it next winter, I'm really wondering if it's really finicky,hard to start ect?? If you can help that would be nice. Thanks ;)

I dont have it back yet. I'll let you know when i do. I think it should be done within the next month or 2. I'm not in a big hurry till I can go ride when its a little nicer out.
