Congratz on yer TRX. Treat her well. Make sure for her first diaper change you read the manual. Its easy to mess the two stage fill up on the tranny side. Make sure the dealer did it right too because my dealer messed mine up when i got my crf450R BIke.

Have FUn!

Thanks... the guy had a lot of knowledge about the bike motor, and he taught me at the dealer.. so I trust him..

When should be my first oil change in your opinion?

I changed mine after 45 min. of riding. The tranny oil is kind of a pain as the drain plug is behind the foot peg and the oil, when draining drips all over the frame. If you get a large drain pan you can catch the engine and tranny oil in the same one. I studied the filter after changing and ther was some metal filings and such from the assembly process, very common, but all the more reason to do that first oil change right away.

definately change it after your first ride or two. change the filter at least the first time in my opinion. When you drain do the perfunctionary warm up and when your dripping do a few kicks with the kcikstarter holding the kill switch (thats bike talk, hehe) to get the rest of the tranny oil out.
Make sure you put the oi filter cover on right!

Hey Seatec, can you actually put them on wrong? Have you done this before, I mean put it on wrong? Just curious.

well on the bike you can plus the bolts are different lenght too so be carefull. I would definately get the shop manual as soon as it comes out. Helped me a lot.

also be very carefull with the torque settings. Esspecially on the case area. I dont know if they fixed it with this engine or with the newer CRF450 bike engines but they stated the torque numbers a bit high in the first manuals. make sure your bolts are always clean when torqueing (sp?) as to not change the friction.
