pics of steering extended steering stem

name sais it all. im getting an extended stem this spring and i cant decide if i want to go plus one or two. im 6ft tall and il be running CRhigh bends

im thinking about getting the same thing..im prob just gonna go +1

i am 6'4" and went ahead and ordered a +2 +1 LSR. should really make me more comfortable.

is any one running a +1 forward on here? My stem just got bent I'm going to get a +2 and I'm thinking to get also +1 forward. I'm also 6'4'', I'm getting new tag Double high CR bend tag t2's which have 1 in less sweep. but i dont know if the would make it to far forward:confused:

Y2K, i talked to another guywho is 6'4" and he said the +2 +1 really opened it up for him and he has way less arm pump now due to a more natural amr position. I must say though that it was on a YFZ. AM not sure what it will do for you on your quad but i doubt it will be negative. ALso, with the +2 i am not sure you need a double high bend but i am sure you would need extended brake lines and clutch. Maybe even throttle too.

I had my stocker extended +1.5, all the lines were fine. After talking to the guys at tag metals about the t2 bar. the stock 400ex bars are 5.6 high, the CR double highs are 4.5 high but they have 1in less sweep. so a +2 stem with those bars i would get a +1 height.. its all confusing i just need to go over my friends house and measure on his stock 400. my stem and bars are to bent to figure it out

Here is mine with a Houser +1, and CRHI bend bars.

I am 5'11" and it is just right for me. This combo is almost the same hight as stock.

I'm 5' 6". I'm a midgit compared to you beanpoles. I have a plus 1" from Roll Design with Pro Taper CR low bars. The set up I have now is the same height as stock. A longer stem and taller bars should be comfy for you giants. :D

Yeah right. "Bean Pole" That would be true if i'd weigh 160lbs but at 285 you can hardly compare me to a bean pole. :D

+1 is plenty. +2 will bend easier in a roll over. I"m 6 foot and the +1 was perfect.

Sorry, Bro. Didn't mean to offend you. I ment bean pole as in height, not body type. You got 100 lbs on me. What are they feeding you down there in Maryland? :confused:

Nah man. not offended at all. Just wante to let you know that it could be worse. you coud be tall and heavy. Now i have to deal with geometry and suspension at the same time.
Am serioulsy thinking about sending my shocks out to TCS and have them set them up for me. Some say it will really make a difference for me.

I am about 6" as well and have the 1" stem with pro-taper cr highs.

If you do get a 2" extended stem and don't like it, it probably won't be the hottest used item on the used market.

Maybe good middle ground would be the Arens +1 "with" the cr DOUBLE high bend? :cool:

well im probably gonna go +1 up and +1 forward. ive already got my bars pushed way up on my stock stem and they are renthal CR double High. So im probably gonna pick me up some Tag Tommy Clowers bend. i think its the same as the SX bend. thanks for the replys and pic

Yeah, i think that if your are within 1" of 6' then you are better off with a +1 for saleability and roll over protection but if you are 6'4" and above you really have to get a +2 +1 to be comfortable.
I guess i just cant roll it then can i? :p

I wonder how Ape Hangers would handle?
