You guys should try and get for that price. Because if they don,t sell for that price they will get in trouble government for bait and switch pricing.

just to let you all know. A dealer can charge anything they want to for freight and setup. They got your attention though, it worked.

This is a very good point. There was a local dealer selling units for way cheaper than anyone else. But when you sit down for the paperwork they stick you with a $1000 freight and set up charge. Turns out it ain't so cheap after all!

I wouldnt get your hopes up! Usually if something sounds too good to be true it is! Also, please pay particular attention in English class tomorrow at school...:D

A long time ago, a car dealer near here advertised a new car for 3000 and something bananas (yep I know it's funny but they used to call dollars that sometimes). Well she showed up at the dealer with all tha bananas! They laughed at her. Then she took them to court. Guess what! She WON! :blah:

True Story.

I'm not sure that price goudging (spelling?) can be done on freight and setup. You probably could take them to court on that too.

But just to let you know, About six months ago I was looking for a 400ex. A Chicago dealer was advertising new 400ex's for about $1800 cheaper, than my local dealer. So before I drove to Chicago, I called that dealer. I asked about the add I had read, and he said yea we can sell it at that price. So I got my hopes up! I had asked a couple of other questions and finally before I hung up the phone I said that I wanted to make sure I had everything correct. If I bring you this much cash I can leave your dealership that day with the bike. He stuttered and said uh no actually there is a Destination fee and setup fee on it as well. So I asked him what the "OUT THE DOOR PRICE" was. It was $300 more than my local dealer! So he was going to let me drive 3 1/2hours and then change the price!

I talked to my local dealer about it and he said he thought it was legal, because they are selling the bike for their advertised price, however they add these other costs in and suddenly they are not cheaper anymore!!!! Be very specific when asking Dealers questions!!! Just thought I'd let you know my experience! Good Luck!!!!:eek2: :blah:

The only thing the galloplis dealership is good for is hard to find parts. They had some pins out of my head on my 400ex i thought for sure would not be in stock. but they were. The dealership closer to me in athens is cheaper. and i think a little better. They should have theres today. L8er

If all of you are getting prices around $6400 then i'm gonna have to find a better dealer. Last time I was at the dealer I usually go to I asked what the OTD price was on the 450R and they said $8300, thats a bunch of ****

Lynwood Cycle Barn does that same thing. We have had customers come in and say that a bike was cheaper there and when we wouldn't match the price they'd go up there only to find out that the freight and set up was WAY more and it brought the OTD price over what we were selling it for. Be VERY careful and ask for the OTD price BEFORE you drive any distance to get what you think is a better deal.
