i just put in the new larger battery i got from pappy, and it made a HUGE difference. i have been charging or jumping the thing to start it since august (when i put in the high compression piston and web cam) i was really thinking that this was making it start harder than it should. but i think that my battery just decided to die about the same time.

so now with the new battery and the 42 pilot, i can easily say that it starts better than it did the day i brought it home.

thank you pappy

CYTX12A-BS its a yuasa battery. you can get these at the dealer if they have it in stock....just check the price. they tend to get expensive

Pappy, what's the usual retail price for these? Just for future reference, I don't need one now, a buddy might. Trying to avoid the sticker shock:p Getting it locally might be better due to the weight and shipping costs.

it varies....ive seen them sell from $68 to over $100.

i let them go for $74 shipped. usually when i sell one, the person needs it and cant wait for it to be ordered.

you might think that sounds high, but after checking at the honda dealer, and oreilys, they both told me $65, and IMO its worth every extra penny

So is this the same size batter just with more cranking power, or is it physically bigger?

If I'm not mistaken it is very close to the same size. I think it is just a tad taller.

So can you use the original battery cables or is there a need to get a higher guage wire.
