polaris 500

Does anyone know what the rated hp. is on a 500 polaris thumper and was it rated at the crank

i think it is about 36 hp...could be home some, but i have heard 36 or so hp as a power number on a polaris 500 before.

52 hp at countershaft and 48 at rear wheels.

ive seen anywhere from 39-42 at the wheels... not sure about the crank. i am assuming like 45-50 though..

Sock mine was 41.7 at the rear wheel but that means nothing on another dyno. Dyno numbers are no way to measure a machine IMO.
