Does anybody run a Duncan steering stabilizer on there 400ex? I just bought one on EBAY and I can't find it on the Duncan website. Do you like the way it works? I know the one end mounts on the steering stem but where does the other end mount exactly. How much are these new? Thanks

Do you mean Denton?

if your talking about denton I have one...its great...the one end mounts to your stem & the other side mounts to your frame where your year& model tag is. i would reccommend this to any one. If you do mean duncan I have never heard of their steering dampners so you'll have to do a review for me. :p

Hmm, I didn't know Duncan made a stabilizer. I know you probably mean Denton, but the picture has a Duncan Racing sticker on it. Interesting. Let us know when you find out.

Duncan does make a stablizer, or at least they used to. I have an older Duncan catalog with stablizers in it. I'll have to look for the catalog and make sure.

Let me know if you find the catalog. I would like to know what it says about them.

Duncan Racing catalog #20. Page 25. It says: DR steering damper kits come with, a rebuildable oil filled damper that features adjuster clicks from easy to hard. Mounts are CNC machined from billet aluminum. AVAILABLE FOR: Honda TRX250R, Lobo chassis, Laeger chassis, Yamaha Banshee, Yamaha Warrior, Suzuki LT 250, and Honda 400EX. The catalog doesn't list a price, and I don't have the price sheet for that catalog. My latest catalog doesn't show any steering dampers, but the price list shows GPR dampers for $450.00. These may be the ones for the top of the steering stem. There's no picture, so I can't say for sure. Call Duncan (619) 258-6306. The other end mounts to the frame crossbar behind the radiator, under your gas tank. It looks like the adjuster sticks out from under the tank for adjusting. Hope this helps. :D

Great work!! Thats basically was I was wanting to know. Now I wonder why they did away with them. Also if this needs rebuilt who can I send it to?

If I rember corectly there is only one company (MUSCLE) I think that makes these, and they sell them to the everyone else.
