I got my new pair of Thor MX Boots a few weeks ago.. and Ive been riding everyday trying to break them in, but still there like rocks!

Do you have any other suggestions on how to break them in?

If they were cheaply priced, they will most likely break in the same day that they rip in half. Good boots will break in rather quickly. Cheap boots will always feel like you are wearing a leg cast.

They were $150.

I cant feel anything when I shift, or tap the brakes! I cant even bend my ankel so that I can shift, I haveta lift my whole leg up.

Any other ways I can at least try to break them in?

or the oven method, throw them in the oven for 7 mins on like 150,take them out,put your feet in them so the inside can mold to it,and walk around a lil bit and do it again,at least thats how i did it with my goalie skates for hockey

it's cold out man. You're not going to break them in too quickly in this weather.

just wear them and ride in them alot. try to work the leather if possible.

Use mink oil on them. it softens up the leather. I used it on my t-30s and it worked great.

What he said /\ /\ coat em real good with mink oil and stick 'em on the boot dryer. Let the mink oil soak in for a good while and then go wear them around.

First of all, "cheap" boots (like the Thor T-30s) are made with the same leather as Alpinestars, and they break in just as well. They just take a little longer.

Second, don't use heat to break them in. It will destroy the waterproofing the boots have. Just use some non-heat leather softener and walk around in them a lot.

I usually wear them to work to break them in... cause I work at a gas station and I do alot of walking around. They are getting a little looser, but still are pretty stiff.
