Dumb question maybe;

Does any of the 400ex's have a brake light?
If so how does it hook up to the front mastercylinder?

There are aftermarket conversions available. The ones I have seen work with the brake pedal, and not with the lever. Look on e-bay, they are there all the time.

You can get banjo bolt switches. I think they are about $16 at C&D Racing.

Thanks guys.

The reason I ask is Raptors have a brake light switch on the front mastercylinder and I just bought a 400ex mastercylinder to put on my Raptor, (the more Honda parts on it the better, right!?!:p ).

Anyway, When I got the 400ex mastercylinder I noticed it has a small threaded hole in the bottom, (about an inch away from the lever pivot bolt hole), and thought it might be for some kind of brake light switch. Anybody know what this hole is for?

I've seen the banjo bolt switches. looking like that might be the easiest.:D

This might be late, but there's a little switch on a stock 400ex clutch perch that fits right in that spot on the master cylinder/brake lever. You can use that for your brake switch! ;)

That's the kind of ideas I like!
Thanks shamisc :D

I've been doing a little looking on my own and the new TRX450R has a brake light switch, (and an adjustable lever), that sure looks like it will fit right on the 400EX master cylinder.
