haha nope its because in a few few years it will be the crf will be outlawed and there isnt much of a difference between the crf yzf or the trx and speed and power if you ask me but i have rode a 450r yet so im not gonna say anything about it

the way i am going is to build one using the yz dirtbike motor, in my opinion with the price of the new quads they have on the market now and the price of aftermarket parts that you will have to buy on top of the quad itself, you would probably be better off buying a aftermarket frame or modified stock frame and the dirtbike motor and putting the aftermarket parts on that.

I would go with the crf too. It would be cheaper to sell your motor and get a crf. They are always on ebay for like $1500 or so.

Thankz for all your help guys how much money does it cost to do it like what all parts do you need to buy to make it fit, how many modifcations do you have to make the get the motor to bolt up in the 400ex frame.

the way i went was to use arens new 400ex frame, that way i could use all the aftermarket parts i already have for my 400ex. there are a few things i need to buy but all in all id do it again in a second.

plus you could prob get a good deal on a dirtbike motor now that the new bikes have come out and the deal on arens frame is :eek2: :eek2:

Do you have to buy like the arens frame or anything like you just use to the stock frame and modifiy it.

you can modify the stock frame if you want you will have to do some welding and be sure you have the sprockets alighned. there is a good step by step write up on this done by mxbubs search for it and it should answer alot of your questions. i would recomend gusseting the frame if you use a stock frame. if you dotn have the welder and the ability to do this you will have to pay someone to do it.

that is why i got the arens frame also you can get the radiator you need form him and like i said the price is unbelievable,

How much was the arens frame and the radator i only have about 2 grand right now. Plus i have to find someone to buy or trade my motor for a 450 motor.
