450r engine

looking for a cheap 450r engine.. i dont know much about these but i hear that certain year models had some problems... also i need to know where i could get it counterbalanced... i want the engine out of the dirt bike, also would be great if it included the carb, ingnition coil, wire harness, and cdi

buy the whole bike and take what you need and sell the rest on e-bay as a rolling chassis or as parts... that is what i did and it was alot cheaper... not only that but you can ride the bike and see how good the motor runs and see what kind of condition the bike is in and that will tell you if the motor was taken care of.

you dont need to get it counter balanced...the 02 were the weak ones, just get a hotcam like i did and they are as good as the rest.. to put it in a quad frame you will also need a water pump relocater

I have an 02 that was in the bike for only three or four months. I bought the motor off the original owner of the bike when a car hit him and knocked the bike off his trailor. The only thing wrong with it is that there is a small hole in the left side oil cover, other than that its like new with very little time on it. Its been in my garage for almost two years. Comes with carb, ignition, stock pipe, and rear master cylinder.
