i'm going to try. last year most of the quad races were three hours from bedford in northern indiana. i guess they're releasing the schedule at the banquet on the 28th. hopefully more quad races and clsoer to Bedford ones.

I hear you cliq20 about the races being in extreme north and I live about an hour south of you.

It seems as if there are a lot of the bike races down here but quads aren't allowed. but 2/3 of the races are up near valparasio which is a horrible drive. might as well drive to kentucky and race their district harescrambles. i think most of the racers are from down here anyway, some go to haspin acres. i'd like to see some races in south central indiana, at least only an hour or two away for most. there's at least 30-40 harescramble riders around here...

hopefully the new schedule will be more favorable for us southern indiana guys.

maybe we should set up our own southern indiana harescramble series and find around 5 places to do it. i have one place at my house. then about 50 racers can show up at 30-40 bucks a pop and then the money would be reinvested in the series.

that would be great. i think we have enough racers in this part of the state, we just would need organization and leaders...

I gotta keep my sources secret... ha ha.

Quads are only raced at Plymouth, Millcreek, and the one race at Stoney Lonesome, which will be the State Quad Race this year. I'm not sure if we will race at Ligonier or not, but I really doubt it.

Either. And I think (not positive) you have to be 16 to race quads, and if you are under 18 you have to have a parent sign off for you.

The Indiana series seems like a joke for quads and I don't think KY has any AMA quad races

I wish KY was like Missouri or Penn where they have a big time state series. What about Casey in IL? How far into IL is it?

I will be running the District 15 races. Don't think I will make the first one though, Winter rebuild is taking way to long.

It is BS. I am usually fired up to run it at the start of the year, but get over it really quick. I'm not to big on driving all the way to Plymouth to race. Not that I mind the drive, but it is not the most organized place at all. Last year the race at DIRT over by Bloomington was fun (although very muddy), its just too bad I filled my airbox up with water and didn't get to finish. I don't know why they didn't schedule another race for this year. The Stoney Lonesome race this year should be a good one, they put on the best bike hare scrambles in Indiana IMO. They use computerized score keepers and have plenty of checkpoints throughout the course. Hopefully there will be more scheduled in the future. There is always a good turnout at every Dist. 15 ATV race I go to.

hey cliq, they have a good series in Casey, IL that isnt really that far. it is only a couple of hours from us. go to ltmoffroad.com and check it out. is this eric? i talked to jared and he said you guys have been ridin a little at your place. i am trying to get my quad done so i can start ridin with him. the way he talks you could have a good track at your place. if you wanted to try something out there i would be willing to help. i'm sure jared, lewis and hooty would help out. oh by the way this is Malott.

yeah this is eric. do you guys have that 450r in yet? i'll try to look at that place in IL. I just hate to drive 3-4 hours north to ride in IN. May go to haspin for a few, hit the closer GNCC's, and try to go out to the place near here that's supposed to be racing this year (in Buddha). (see the haspin acres thread). it would be cool to try to have a race out at my place a couple times a year. maybe not hundreds of riders but quite a few. i can't believe hootie went to Texas. that's crazy. i'd love to have someone to go to the (close) races with too.

i'm going to try to stop by Bloom PS today.

it seems like we're mostly xc racers down here. I know a lot of guys that run XC. i'd love to see some tracks spring up down here.
