300ex outrunning 400ex

How much $ will it take if the 300 already has a HMF slip on, knn power kit? I want to go the cheapest but best performingway here... giving up my 35hp lt to a 18hp 300ex and i had a 250ex and im tired of going slow. I want to outrun my cocky 400ex friends, but im sure theyll tihnk of sometihng their quad can do better :D . I am thinking of a cheap high compression 330 kit and a race cam, and some experimantal home port work :p . Basically, I want it to pull my arms out of the sockets, do it for cheap and still have one reliable machine. SO.. how much is this going to cost me? looking for specifics and prices

for wat you ask here umm...mayb one grand give or take a couple hundred....but if anything you should do suspension first,then wrry bout kickin ur friends ***'s lol

I'd skip the 'experamental home porting' if you are serious about being competative, unless you like to gamble....

There isn't really any "cheap" motor mods, unless you wanted to go with Nos:D That should make you keep with a 400ex....until your motor blows anyways;)

My opinion: Don't try to outrun your friends in a drag race. The 300 will become a money pit if you do. Concentrate on getting better at riding and maybe improve on the shocks and tires to let you beat them in the tight areas and in the rough stuff.

Well I say if your on the track you may be able to beat them by out riding them!! I have beat 400's w/ my 300 & it's nothing special, AL0T depends on the rider :D :D Hell I beat a YFZ450 w/ my flattrackin:devil: she didn't know how to ride it in fact she packed it into the wall a couple times till she finally gave up on it LOL I was wishin I could of got on it!!

Good Eye! I missed that... just took it as a good ole 300! I bet it rips! I hope thats an extended swingarm on there! :eek2:
