I'm gonna buy a car soon for around $8g's and so far I've come up with these ideas...
1) Hyudai Tiburon (2000 or newer)
2) Ford Focus SVT
3) Mustang (1989-1996)
I know people don't like 'rice' but I'm not going to be doing that to the car. I would rather have a manual. Which do you think out of these three cars, unless you have any other ideas. Anyone have any experience with these cars?

Out of those 3, the focus. As gay as a Focus is it's the best car listed. At the very least buy American.

I would have a svt foucus out of all those becuase I think I would enjoy driving a car around corners instead of just a stirght line. But it your car don't let other people decide for you :)

mustangs are played out, dont get one. out of the list id get the tiburon. focuses suck! i hate them anyway. unless there beefed out to the max. a friend of mine knows a guy that lives by him who builds them up and has one thats like 700 hp or something(not joking) but since your not getting that lol get the tiburon out of those listed. you could get a wrx. there not that spendy. and fun as hell to drive

if your looking for any kind of cornering performance..DO NOT get a front wheel drive car. Theyre good if you have to drive in the snow or carry the family around....get a 93 or newer Z28...best bang for the buck by FAR!...that is if your looking for performance
By the way I have tons of experience with these cars and if your careful and choosy about buying one it will run forever. The 6 Speeds are bulletproof under 500 horse..the rear end is a different story

i would say the tiburon or the focus...but get a zx2..my friends g/f has one, and she let us drive around in it...it was pretty quick for a stock one....first gear we had it up to 50, only problem is once u get up to about 65-70 the front end gets real squirrely, or maybe it was just her car, but it just starts swerving across the road when you have your hands and the wheel holding it straight......just my opinion.....let us know what you end up buying......

first if you only want to spend 8 grand at the most your not going to pick any of the newer cars up for that much (wrx, focus svt, rsx) And if your still wanting all wheel drive power or an import look into an older subra impreza rs, or eagle talon tsi (if you don't mind spending money on fixing it)

I dont want to turn this into battle of the "fast and furious" so Ill just say........go with rear drive sportscar if your not going to drive it in the winter and youll be on the right track.
I bought a 99Z loaded last January for $9000...just keep your eyes open.
Heres my $.02
93-97 LT1 Z28----excellent torquey car with awesome stock performance...13.7-14.4 e.t's
98-02 LS1 Z28----higher horsepower but comes on in a completely different way....stock...12.8-13.9 depending on the year and how lucky you get. and theyre very reliable in my experience...6 speed gets KICKASS gas mileage...up to 30mpg or more on highway...93-97 isnt far off of that with the 6 speed
94-95 Mustang GT...no comment
94-95 Cobra...good car..feels like a damn rocket out of the hole...piss poor top speed handling....stock e.t's not so good
96-98 Cobra....YUMMY!!! 13.8-14.6 somewhere in there stock..awesome cars love to have one
99 and newer..good luck affording one but go with a cobra if ya do......NICE
04 Cobra...god yes..sell your soul!....but be ready to work on it

Dear god don't get a ZX2, those things are rolling POS. My friend has one, its slow, ugly, and its fricken family car. Its quick to about 45 then it hits a wall, i can beat him in 3rd gear in my car. But like u posted its a chic car.

SUBARU... you could get a nice looking impreza for $8 grand, probably around a 98. Not sure on the prices right now. It is still sporty enough You can get 2 or 4 door and 2 wheell drive or all wheel drive(98 might be just all wheel drive though) not sure what year they started being just all wheel drive. You can use it all year round, get good gas mileage, and run them for a long time. They go great in the snow. If you need a little bigger look for a legacy(but they are more money).
You can not get a wrx for $8 unless it's very wrecked.
You can not carry your 4 wheeler with a car, but if you must have just 1 vehicle, all wheel drive is excellent if you live where it snows at all

I would also have to agree to get a truck. Makes it really easy to haul your quad if you want to check out somewhere new to ride. Then you don't have to rely on a friend to haul you around when it comes to ride.
Regal GS.
Drives nice , decent on gas , sleeper.
