Need computer help (virus)

ok I run windows XP home and I use AVG anti-virus. well it says I have a virus.

this is what it says.

infected object.
C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLOADED PROGRAM FILES\IELOADER.DLL

virus name
Trojanhorse downloader.ladder.A

avg says to move to vault and when I tried to it said.

IELOADER.DLL can not be removed.

can any one tell me what I need to do? PLEASE :(

I got the same virus this week too. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure what to do??? :(

Does your virus scanner have a help desk? I'd suggest to call them and or visit their website and look this problem up in the FAQ. The most likely problem is that you cant remove it is that its running in memory. YOu have to close the program by pressing ctrl-alt-del and then go to the task manager and see if it is running there. go to the process tab and click on the cpu column header and see which process is taking up the most cycles. kill that and try to scan the virus again.
PS. close all programs down before attempting this and also make sure you dont kill your system idle process.
Your best bet however inquire on your virus scanners website

After your clean, make sure your are patched and always update your virus scanner.

Good luck... it's pretty harmless, just some adware.
