300ex Stock Pipe

hey im broke, still paying for my 300 and i need some quick cheap power gains, the spark arrestor looks like it is welded on to the stock pipe, anyone know how i can take it off or any other things i can do? maybe rejet?

u can get rid of the spark arrestor by breaking the welds but it will make it louder...if u get rid of the airbox lid and get a kn filter and rejet ull get a good power gain

I have a dg exhaust system on my 99 300ex and it agained alot of power. I have a dg exhaust system and a k& n air filer ac racing nerfs and thats it and i can keep up with a z400 in a drag. The pipe is cheap, go to dg's website its like 120 bucks. not bad

the dgf pipe sounds like a good deal but theres no way u can keep up with a z400

If I where you, I would just get a k&n and re-jet(Don't waste your money on a jet kit) and save your money for a GOOD pipe, like HMF or Sparks.
