400ex axle on a 250r

will a 400ex rpm dominator axle work on a 86 250r? the axle does not have any hubs or nething on it. i heard that u just put the stock 250r hubs on that axle...will they fit?...thanks

The hubs on a stock 250R will not interchange with stock 400EX hubs. A stock 400Ex axle will fit on a 250R, i know because I've done it. As far as an RPM axle, if they use stock 250R splines then no, it will not fit!

the two axles can be used with each other, its the hubs that don't fit.
the 400ex axle will fit, but you have to use 400ex hubs.

Is it the wheel hubs, or the sprocket/brake hubs that have different splines? Both the sprocket and the brake hub alignment is OK in the 250R swingarm?
