Things i should do putting my motor back together?

anything i should do while putting my motor together? i know XC is the exuast. so it faces that way forward...do the rings have to be facing a certain way when they clamp together? should i put oil on the cam and stuff? thanks

You do "polishing" but you don't know how to put an engine together.

Yes it does matter what way you put the rings in.

Also you should reassemble with moly lube. Your service manual would tell you these things.

doesn't matter now :grr: grrrr was putting it all together..forgot all about my cam and rockers...looked at them...there all jacked up! when the valve locked up it must have kept spinning or something and it made the lobe and the rocker thing all lumpy..it sucks! oh well..guess i'll get a webcam and stuff..this sucks i have to wait longer now..:o
